Donna describes herself as a mom, teacher and education consultant.  Her husband, Mark, and she have two teenage children.  She has taught Kindergarten, First and Second Grade.  She has experience as a multi-age, inclusion and looping teacher.  She has always believed that “being a teacher allows you to be a teacher you always wished you had”.  As a consultant, Donna has presented workshops to teachers across the U.S. and Canada.  She has been both a keynote and featured speaker for National and State Conferences.  Her presentations are high energy, practical and motivating.  Her positive energy is contagious!

MEET PEGGY CAMPBELL-RUSH

Peggy Campbell-Rush has been a primary grade teacher for more than twenty years, teaching in New Jersey, Colorado, California and England.  She currently teaches kindergarten in New Jersey where she has received five NJEA Frederick Hipp grants and was named county teacher of the year.  Other awards Peggy has received include being named Wal-Mart teacher of the year, 2004 USA Today All-American Teacher Team and a Fulbright-Hayes Fellow to study in South Africa during the summer of 2004.

Peggy holds a B.S. degree from the College of New Jersey, an M.A. from the University of Colorado and advanced degree credits from UCLA and Rutgers University.

Peggy has written four books; I Teach Kindergarten, Tricks of the Trade In and Out of the Classroom, Success for Struggling Learners (Pre-K – 2), and Hip-Hop Alpha Bop Activity Book (Pre-K-2).  Many of her articles have been published in Mailbox magazine, Family Fun, Teaching K-8, and Creative Classroom.

 

MEET KIM ADSIT

Kim Adsit is a 2002 Teacher of the Year and has taught kindergarten for over 24 years.  She encourages all educators to tap into the curiosity of young children to help plant the seeds for lifelong learning.  Kim has been selected as an Expert Teacher, and she serves as a teacher mentor.  She has a Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as an At-Risk Endorsement.  Kim has co-authored five books, with her latest titles being Jazzing Up Journals and Book Making Bonanza.

Shari has been an enthusiastic kindergarten teacher for over 20 years.  An experienced national presenter, she offers a range of kindergarten-specific topics and teacher-tested strategies.  Shari expertly translates what occurs in her own classroom into innovative and practical instructional methods that enrich the learning environment.  She was recently included in the Who’s Who among America’s Teachers and was nominated for Disney Teacher of the Year.
