I have spent 28 years developing a method for taking kindergarten students from letter recognition to reading and writing stories IN A DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE way. I will outline steps and teacher-made materials with a video demonstration. This is similar to "calendar math" and can be used in any setting.

All Alabama boards of education are required to develop and implement a comprehensive character education program

(Act #95-313). This session will give teachers lots of practical ideas for teaching the (25) required character traits, using math, language arts, science and social studies lessons. Dozens of examples of art work, graphs, student made books and more will be shared.
